Actress Grace Field has signed on to play the role of Coach Henderson in Running with Scissors - the coming-of-age drama currently in development by Hope and Glory Studios.
Grace Field is a member of the Grammy Nominated and Tony Award Winning Broadway Inspirational Voices. Grace performed on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre in "Disney on Broadway" as part of the Celebration of Disney's 25 years streamed on ABC hosted by Whoopi Goldberg. Also, Field performed in the original cast of the new Alan Menken's Disney's production of Hercules at the Public Theatre. Grace has had a busy 2024 as she is in three films that are currently in production - Love with an Accent, Unaware, and Demigods.
In Running with Scissors, Grace will play the part of a high school track and cross country coach - Coach Hendersen. She challenges our protagonist, Megan Turner, to train for and run in 5k race at the end of the summer.
Grace is excited to be teaming up with Producer Jerry Fushianes - one of the producers of Running with Scissors - as the two have worked well together in the past. When she learned she was working with Jerry again, Grace responded "I love working with Jerry! He's just a lot of fun and easy to work with." Fushianes is looking forward to working again with Grace as well stating, "Grace is the consummate professional and always so kind to everyone around her. She brings a great vibe to the set."
